The EVO ICL is an implantable collamer lens which corrects a patient’s vision without having to remove any corneal tissue. It is a great solution for people with dry eyes, thin corneas, or patients who have a high prescription. The EVO ICL is a minimally invasive surgery with a high safety profile and does not change a patient’s corneal thickness.
During EVO ICL surgery, the surgeon will insert a micro-thin lens in front of your eye’s natural lens. Because the ICL is placed between the iris and the natural lens, it is removable in the future, which makes it the only ‘reversible’ vision correction procedure out there. Many patients tell us that ICL also gives them ‘HD Vision’. Dr. Loh at Loh Ophthalmology Associates has experience with all refractive options, including ICL, LASIK, PRK.
For years ICL was thought of as an ‘alternative’ to LASIK, but in the last couple years, patients have become more and more familiar with the benefits of the EVO ICL procedure over other vision correction options and have chosen to go with it firsthand. EVO ICL is becoming a vision correction procedure of choice for many people around the world.
